Factory Planning Manager Job (Consumer Goods)

Monroe Consulting Group is currently recruiting on behalf of one of the world’s leading fast-moving consumer goods companies. The company produces multiple products, including personal care, home care, and health care products. Our respected client is seeking a supply chain professional, preferably with experience working in a multinational consumer goods or pharmaceutical company. The position is Factory Planning Manager, to be based in Cileungsi, West Java, Indonesia. The winning candidate will report directly to the Factory Manager.
Key job responsibilities will include:
Responsible for availability of raw materials and packaging materials before the commencement of the production process so that there is no production loss due to material unavailability.
Responsible for day to day preparation of production schedules and driving the factory team towards compliance to the same.
Works closely with the Supply Services team, the Procurement team and the manufacturing unit.
Prepares the daily Master Production Schedule which acts as a guideline for the production team for carrying out the manufacturing activities. Production efficiency must be put as main consideration while preparing the daily MPS.
Ensures the achievement of actual production output against the Master Production Schedule. This is done through daily meeting with the manufacturing team (production, engineering, and QA).
Responsible for generation of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) on the basis of MPS.
Issues Purchase Orders to the vendors on the basis of the MRP.
Follows up with vendors so as to ensure that all materials are available before the commencement of the production process; ensures that all materials which have arrived to the factory are as per the PO; role holder must ensure there is no production loss due to material unavailability.
Responsible for inventory management; ensures that the stock level of RM/PM in the factory is as per agreed norms.

Job Requirements:
MBA in Operations Management preferably an Engineer
4-5 years of planning experience .
Expertise in the tools of planning and systems oriented.
Achievement focused and able to work in a direct and often pressurized environment.
Entrepreneurial skills in terms of pragmatic problem solving.
Perseverance, assertive and ability to influence.
Demonstrates strong team working abilities and commitment.
Commercial awareness – Understands the impact of Supply decisions on business profitability.
Strong track record of delivery.
Strong ability to review and identify issues and opportunities in business process.
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Able to speak and understand command in English
